Introducing the 2025 Data Migration Benchmark Survey
Help us uncover how teams really plan, validate, and deliver migrations

Every data team has a migration story. Some are quick, some drag on, some succeed, and some stall. But no one really knows how their experience compares to others. Was your project typical, or an outlier? Did your budget land where it should have? Was your approach to data validation common or unusual?
Right now, there’s no clear benchmark. Migrations are central to modernization, yet we lack reliable data on how long code migrations take, what they cost, which validation practices teams use, and what gets sacrificed along the way. And as AI adoption accelerates, there’s even less visibility into how teams are experimenting with it during their migrations.
That’s why we’re launching the 2025 Data Migration Benchmark Survey. This short survey collects ground truth from practitioners on timelines, budgets, validation, stakeholder confidence, and the opportunity costs of migrating code and logic to new platforms.
It also asks about AI, including how teams are (or aren’t) weaving it into their strategies, and what role they expect it to play going forward.
Take the 5-minute survey here. By contributing your experience, you’ll help build a resource the entire industry can learn from. As a thank you, the first 100 respondents will receive a $25 gift card, and all participants will get early access to the 2025 Migration Benchmark Report when it’s published.
